Salento is one of the few private railways (Ferrovie Sud Est) that still uses diesel trains from the 50.
jump on this train, commonly called "periwinkles" is like diving into the past. The scenery along the way does not help to bring us back to our days, partly because to travel twenty kilometers takes 30 minutes and a change in an intermediate station.
